This past weekend was my bachelorette weekend at Glade Springs Resort. Some of my closest gals got together to celebrate with me. It is hard to believe I will be getting married in just a few short days! I had an absolute blast last weekend. When we first arrived, my sister handed me a Bride to Be sash to wear. It matched my dress perfectly!
We headed to Daniels Vineyard to do a tour of the vineyard and wine tasting (so we thought). We ended up getting way more than we bargained for LOL When we pulled up to the vineyard, a gentleman greeted us with a wine glass and a smile. He welcomed us to the Wine Festival. Y'all, this was not planned. We just lucked out! There were several vendors, different foods, and wine from several local vineyards. We tried out some flavored wines. The raspberry was my favorite! I also bought some different premixed spices to make dips with. I purchased a bacon/onion dip that was delicious with pretzels. I also bought pumpkin pie mix for this fall. The couple that was selling the dip mixes gave me a free mix that tasted like orange dreamcicle once they saw my sash that said Bride to Be. They congratulated me and wished me luck. They were so sweet!
Now, I thought the dip mixes would be the highlight of the Wine Festival, but I was wrong. We made our way over to a shed to grab a quick lunch. They had a live band playing good oldies music, so it was a fun atmosphere. Everyone was just sitting around, eating, and enjoying the music. Then, all of a sudden, two ladies decided to get up and start dancing. That was entertaining enough, but just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it did. Three more ladies made their way up to the dance floor WITH HULA HOOPS. They were moving all over the place with those things. I had never seen anything like it before in all my life! My bachelorette party was suddenly wilder than I had anticipated LOL
After our adventurous trip to the vineyard, we went back to our rooms to get ready for the evening. We had a lovely dinner at Bunkers. We laughed and told stories all evening. During dinner, one of my best friends, Jill, turned to me and told me it was my last single girl Saturday. That really hit me. I am about to be a married woman. It is just crazy to think! After dinner, we went back to the room. Kelly came up with a couple of cute games for all of us to play. Apparently, I am REALLY good at bachelorette party games LOL All the girls bought me such cute things. I had such a great time!
Our rooms were so cute!
We never dreamed we would be on another shuttle together LOL We had to take one every single day to get to the pharmacy school, and now we are on another heading to Bunkers for dinner!
Elevator Selfie!
I can't thank everyone enough that traveled to Glade with me to celebrate. I had a wonderful trip spending quality time with some of my favorite girls. Next stop... marriage!
